One in every color

Hoi An, Vietnam was absolutely the most amazing city. The buildings were aging to a sunny chipped yellow and the people were amazingly friendly. It was a town of tailors, prepared to make anything you could possabily wish for in any color or style. The town was so charming. I wish we had more than just the 2 days to visit it. It was one of the few places that seemed untainted by the stream of tourists coming through. The people went on doing what they had always done without any McDonald's. It was one of the few places that seemed to go about a more traditional way of life without considering whether it was going to attract business or not.

Business as Usual

Kata City, Phuket, Thailand-

Things are idyllic as we settle into the lazy beach routine. Not much to report, other than peaceful breezes, crystal waters, and bronze skin.

The shady rocks on Karon Beach

The gypsy village near Rawai Beach

By the way, I also added some Angkor Wat pictures below. Enjoy.

Finding Nemo

After three days of lessons I can now officially say that I am a certified scuba diver. The experience has been like nothing else, 5 dives over two days in some of the most beautiful sites in the world. Among thousands of unidentifiable yet incredibly beautiful fish we also spotted several large moray eels, a huge barracuda, some lobster, flying fish, and, my personal favorite, a lazy sea turtle. After today's three dives I can still feel the rock of the boat and water, but it was all worth it. The underwater visibility was about 15 meters, and we spent time about 18 meters under. Exhilarating!
